Six surfaces were prepared with different surface division patternsfor the experimental investigation of steam condensation
heat transfer characteristics for dropwise and filmwise coexisting (DFC) condensation surfacesunder atmospheric pressure.
Dropwise condensation (DWC) was promoted withan ultrathin polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film, which was prepared by
thedynamic ion-beam mixed implantation (DIMI) method. The results showed thatthe condensation phenomena at the
intersection between the dropwise and filmwisecondensation regions were quite different for different relative positions
ofthe dropwise and filmwise condensation regions. The experimental results revealedthat the condensation heat transfer
characteristics were highly influenced bythe surface division number and the relative area ratio of the dropwise andfilmwise
condensation regions. The impact of these findings on heat transferenhancement mechanism for condensation heat transfer is
    discussed in detail.

A mathematical model for analyzing and simulating selective hydrogenation of butyne-1 and 1,3-bu-tadiene in industrial
trickle bed reactors operated to obtain high purity butene-1 is presented in this work. From the analysis of typical operating
conditions, only the relevant phenomena are finally retained in the model formulation. The model is then employed to analyze
the effect of operating variables and catalyst selectivity in process performance. In particular, the search for the minimum
hydrogen flow rate necessary to fulfil butene-1 purity specifications is undertaken.

An equation of diffusion for microcapsules (hollow sphere) was developed, employing the mathematical model for the diffusion characteristics of solid sphere. In the proposed equation, a combination diffusion coefficient was introduced as a substitute for the diffusion coefficient in the solid sphere mathematical model and expressed as a function of the diffusion coefficient inside solution of hollow sphere, as well as in the polymer membrane. With this modified model, the diffusion coefficients of glucose in NaCS (sodium cellulose sulfate)- PDADMAC (Poly-diallyl-dimethyl-ammonium chloride) membrane and in Ca-alginate gel membrane were determined. The diffusion coefficient in NaCS-PDADMAC membrane was found to be 2.12×10-11 m2·s-1 and that in Ca-alginate membrane 2.62×10-10m2·s-1.

Tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP)dissolved in kerosene was chosen as extractant for lithium from a model brine having high
magnesium-to-lithium ratio and ferric chloride was added to the system. The influences of contact time, concentration of the
extractant, concentrations of some salts (Mg2+, Na+, K+)in the solution, acidity of hydrochloric acid and extraction
temperature on the extraction of lithium with TBP-kerosene system were studied. The suitable extraction conditions were found
    to be :contact time not any less than 20 min;at 20—25℃;[Fe3+]/[Li+]about 1.5—2.0;TBP concentration 50%—70%;
[MgCl2] exceeding 3 mol*L-1;pH about 2;while most sodium and potassium salts in the aqueous phase should be removed before
    the extraction.
Influence of Deformation-Induced Martensite on Stress Corrosion Cracking of AISI 321 Stainless Steel

Specimens of AISI 321 stainless steel (0Cr18Ni9Ti) of various martensite contents were prepared by the low temperature(-70℃
) elongation method.X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron micrograph (TEM) techniques were used to study the
phase transition process and its structure. The relationship between deformation-induced martensite and stress corrosion
cracking (SCC) susceptibility of the steel in 42% (boiling)MgCl2 solution was investigated using the constant load SCC test
with the normalized threshold values. The results reveal that when the α′-martensite content is less than 5% and also in
the range of 15%—24%, the SCC susceptibility of this material decreases with the increase of α′-martensite
content. However, when the α′-martensite content is in the rang of 5%—15% and more than 24%, the SCC susceptibility of
this material increases with the increase of the α′-martensite content. The SCC fracture surface of the specimens exhibits a
stepped fracture surface and transgranular stress corrosion fracture surface morphology.
Multiplicity in Continuous Adiabatic MSMPR Reactive Precipitators

The possibility of both concentration and temperature multiplicities has been studied for the case of a continuous adiabatic
mixed suspension mixed product removal (MSMPR) reactive precipitator. A process involving homogeneous chemical reaction in
first order reaction kinetics with respect to each of the reactive components and subsequent crystallization described by
conventional power law growth and power law magma dependent nucleation models is considered. The temperature dependency of
each of these kinetics is described by Arrhenius relations. Parameter regions are determined in which multiple steady states
exist. The linear stability of these steady states is analyzed by using the Routh criterion approach.

Methods for promoting product and reducing energy consumption in a solvent dewaxing device are put forward. Then, the authors
mainly discuss about adaptive database, mathematical modeling, mathematical op-timized control algorithm, expert optimized
control system and intelligent alarming system etc. At last, hardware and software of the intelligent optimized control
system are introduced. Field test is finally chosen for this study and proved that the intelligent optimized control system
    is effective.
